District Programme Team Leader
The Programme team leader looks at ways to offer advice to our groups to provide amazing experiences. Whether this is though our programme support, achieving top awards or Nights Away advise. The team will provide support where it is needed.
Programme Team
Across our District in groups, young people of all ages are learning skills for life through their Scout programme. The Programme Team work alongside the local volunteers so that young people experience the best Scouting activities and our leaders are supported to deliver them.
There are five sub-teams within the Progamme team. They focus their efforts into some of the aims of the team. The team’s volunteers may be in more than one or even none of the sub-teams, but all contribute to help.
Programme Support
Help Section Teams access expert advice and support and ensure that Sections can access adventurous activities, either through permit holders.
Top Awards
Help young people achieve Top Awards such as the Chief Scout’s Awards, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE), The King Scout’s Award (KSA) and Young Leader’s Scheme.
Nights Away
Support volunteers to include nights away in their Section’s programme and help volunteers gain their Nights Away Permits.
Paddle Sports
Bringing our water-based Adventurous Activity Permit holders together so young people can experience the freedom of time on the water.
Shooting
Bringing our Shooting Adventurous Activity Permit holders together so young people can experience the wonderful activity.

The Programme Team includes a number of sub teams focusing on key areas of District Scouting: Programme Support, Top Awards, Nights Away, Paddle Sports and Shooting. Together, these teams provide the support and infrastructure that enable volunteers and young people to have the best possible Scouting experience.
