District Support Team Leader
The Support team leader looks at ways to support our groups to provide amazing experiences. Whether this is though our campsite or in there buildings, The team will provide support where it is needed.
Support Team
From supporting directly at events, to helping out behind the scenes and maintaining our physical and digital assets, the team play their part to support our various volunteers. By keeping things running smoothly, they keep pressure off the volunteers who work with our young people.
There are five sub-teams within the Support team. They focus their efforts into some of the aims of the team. The team’s volunteers may be in more than one or even none of the sub-teams, but all contribute to help.

Campsite
From maintenance and development to ensuring the smooth running of our District Campsite. Includes looking after the equipment, making sure we work within the rules and we contribute to the District.

Growth
Looking at our future and working with Groups and other District teams to open, close, or merge Sections.

Media
Manage and maintain the technology and communication channels of the District including our website and social media accounts. Tell our Scout stories externally in the media.

Inclusion
When done right, Scouting is for all. This sub-team help our volunteers with understanding the additional needs of their Scouts and what reasonable adjustments they can make.

Admin
Includes the volunteers who keep the district ticking behind the scenes including our Secretary, minute takers, badge secretary and Treasurer.

Interested in joining the Support Team?
The Support Team includes a number of sub teams focusing on key areas of District Scouting: Campsite, Growth, Media, Inclusion and Administration. Together, these teams provide the support and infrastructure that enable volunteers and young people to have the best possible Scouting experience.
The Support Team aims to:
- Provide practical support for District activities, events and projects
- Support the management and development of the District campsite
- Encourage growth and help welcome new groups into Scouting
- Promote Scouting locally through media, communications and storytelling
- Champion inclusion and help ensure Scouting is accessible to all
- Provide administrative support to help the District operate effectively
